  2. Moisturise well the day before your tanning treatment
  3. Don’t apply moisturiser, deodorant or perfume prior to the treatment
  4. Bring loose fitting clothes and flip flops to change into after your spray tan.

The therapist should apply barrier cream to your nails, palms of the hands, knuckles, elbows, knees and feet before starting to use the spray tan gun to gently apply the solution to your skin.

After your tan

Let the tan develop on your skin for about 8 hours before showering as this will ensure that you get the best colour from your tan. Although for those of you who are the last minute.com types LA Tan have just launched their latest product, the FAST TAN which develops after only 2 hours!

Don’t scrub your skin in the shower, just let the water rinse away the remaining tan until the water runs clear, then pat yourself dry (don’ scrub with the towel) and then moisturise well. The more often you moisturise the longer your tan should last.
